Refund & Returns Policy
Effective date: 12 August 2026
Thank you for purchasing from Pit Stops of Grace. We want you to be happy with your purchase and are committed to handling returns and refunds fairly and in accordance with applicable South African consumer-protection laws.
1. Damaged or Defective Books
If your book arrives damaged, defective or materially different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving your order.
Please email info@pitstopsofgrace.co.za with:
- Your order details
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the damaged or defective book
- Your contact details
Where a return is required, we will provide instructions for returning the book.
Where the book is confirmed to be defective or damaged and you qualify for a remedy under applicable law, we may, as appropriate, replace the book or provide a refund.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act 68 of 2008) are not affected by this policy.
2. Incorrect Book or Order
If you receive the wrong book or an incorrect quantity, please contact us at info@pitstopsofgrace.co.za as soon as possible.
We will arrange the appropriate correction, which may include sending the correct item or providing a refund where applicable.
3. Change of Mind / Unwanted Books
For online purchases, you may have a statutory right to cancel a transaction within the applicable cooling-off period under South African law.
Where a return is permitted, the book should be returned in its original, unused condition and adequately packaged to prevent damage during return.
Where applicable, the direct cost of returning the book may be for the customer’s account, as permitted by law.
4. Refunds
Once an approved return has been received and assessed, we will confirm the applicable remedy with you.
Where a refund is due, it will generally be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase, where reasonably possible.
Any refund will be made within the period required by applicable South African law.
Please note that we cannot process a refund where a customer has simply changed their mind outside any applicable statutory cooling-off or return right, unless we have agreed otherwise.
5. Delivery Charges
Where an order is returned because the product was defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise qualifies for a remedy under applicable law, we will handle delivery or return costs in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Where a customer voluntarily returns an unwanted product and the law permits the return cost to be charged to the customer, the applicable return delivery cost may be deducted from or paid separately from the refund.
6. Pre-Orders
If you purchase a book during a pre-order period, the same consumer rights described in this policy apply.
If there is an unforeseen delay or we are unable to fulfil your order, we will communicate with you and, where required by law, provide an appropriate remedy.
7. Bundle Purchases
Where a devotional and journaling notebook are purchased together as a bundle, any return or refund will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the return.
Where only one item in a bundle is affected by a defect or fulfilment error, we will assess the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.
